History
During the recession of the early 1990s Austen Smythe branched out and introduced an Outplacement Service to help serve the Banking and Finance Industry during a time when the number of advertised jobs was greatly outnumbered by the number of redundancies being made. At the time both directors of Austen Smythe attended training courses in Outplacement to keep abreast of the changing needs and requirements of the industry.

The Outplacement Service offered by Austen Smythe covers the essentials of getting back to work after having been made redundant, which includes CV writing, advice on interviews, general advice on the current job front, and introductions with regards to networking - and all this with consultants who have worked on both sides of recruitment and who specialise in the Banking and Finance industry.

Many candidates find themselves with little or no experience of writing a comprehensive CV.
